Project Information
The project at full scale is aimed to produce around 20 000 tons of prawns p.a. and employ approx 12 000 people. Due to extreme electrical tariff increases in South Africa the project will be re-locating to the North East coast or KZN region of South Africa where sea temperatures are on average 5 degrees warmer. The warmer sea temperatures drastically alleviate the increase in electrical consumption and electrical expenses to the project.
