The project covers reconstruction of Astrakhan TPP (ATPP) of LLC “LUKOIL-Astrakhanenergo” through installation of CCP-110 combined-cycle plant with 110 MW of installed electrical capacity and 66 Gcal/h of thermal capacity from steam extraction turbine. The plant is based on LM6000PF-Sprint gas-turbine units manufactured by General Electric (USA).
Power supply to end users from CCP-110 of ATPP will be in the order of 876 k MWh per year, heat supply – 210 k Gcal per year. The implemented technologies help to enhance heat and power generation efficiency and comply with all up-to-date environmental standards.
The greenhouse gas emission reductions under the project are achieved due to increased efficiency and higher power output at Astrakhan TPP through application of the state-of-the-art high-efficiency technology of CCP-based power generation with the corresponding substitution of grid power generated within the Integrated Energy System “South”.
