Reduction of Associated Petroleum Gas Flaring at LLC “LUKOIL-Perm”

Shershnevskoe Oilfield

Reduction of Associated Petroleum Gas Flaring at LLC “LUKOIL-Perm”

The project is aimed at increasing beneficial utilization of associated petroleum gas (APG) which is a byproduct of crude oil production at Shershnevskoe, Unvinskoe, Sibirskoe and Arkhangelskoe fields in Usolskiy District of Perm Region. These fields are operated by LLC “LUKOIL-Perm”. The APG utilization project operator is also LLC “LUKOIL-Perm”.

APG from Shershnevskoe and Unvinskoe fields is planned to be compressed and delivered via a newly built gas pipeline to LLC Permneftegaspererabotka (LLC PNGP) for processing.

The project includes the following measures:;

– construction of a 20 km gas pipeline from BPS-1103 of Shershnevskoe field to Unva Preliminary Water Removal Facility (PWRF) to deliver APG to LLC ”PNGP”;

– construction of a mini gas-compressor station (GCS) at Unva PWRF for compression of low-pressure associated petroleum gas from TSUs No.1 and No.2 and for further delivery of collected APG to LLC “PNGP”.

The project measures will reduce GHG emissions, including carbon dioxide and methane, due to avoided inefficient soot flaring of APG at Shershnevskoe and Unvinskoe field.
